Building a brighter tomorrow, dawn of the world

Why Suryodaya?

Suryodaya means 'sunrise', indicating dawn of the world. We recognise that equitable education is the cornerstone for a brighter tomorrow. We work on building socially-conscious communities, education and literacy programs for children and youth, based out of India and Kenya.

What we do

We are powered by passionate people leveraging technology whenever possible to solve these problems at scale. Through our platforms, people interact with each other and derive value.

A platform where every citizen can voice their opinion, queries, and issues and bring it to the notice of their concerned representatives in the government. The goal is to make our leaders accountable and the government more accessible to the common person.

A platform where people can form socially-conscious communities and self-sustainable groups. You can share resources when you can spare anything that is needed by less-privileged people in your surroundings.

Who are we?

Suryodaya Welfare Association (SWA) was established in 2014 with the vision of leveraging technology for social good. Read our origin story here from the Founder’s desk.

Today, we are more than 100 members strong, impacting over 10,000 individuals worldwide by improving access to quality education and digital resources.

We primarily focus on the cornerstone of equitable education, operating globally with offices based in India and Kenya. We partner with local bodies for vocational training, skill development, and building digital products that provide vital livelihood opportunities, aiming to create sustainable impacts through education and empowerment.
